Land survey is a survey which provides information about the land. There are different types of land survey that are topographic survey, civil engineering survey and cadastral survey these surveys are related to each other.
Topographic survey is survey of landscape features for the purpose of general mapping. These maps are called as topographic maps because they are based on topographic survey. It performed at large scale for showing a variety of landforms and evolutions. Construction surveying is a part of civil engineering surveying before stating any construction. In a building construction all elements should be correct size and their position in relation to each other must be correct. Civil engineers are trained in the surveying and geographically information system. Surveyor may also layout for railways, highways and streets too.
